Last Day of 2012

FireWorksHere we are again, at the end of another year and it is time to reflect. 2012 has been a growing year for me, both personally and professionally. I have laughed, pondered, and cried more this year than I probably have in any other. I am thankful for my new friends, who have challenged and introduced me to exciting adventures and hobbies; new family members that have reminded me of the beauty and happiness of life; and the loved ones around me that remain constant and steadfast, always cheering me on in every endeavor. For that, I thank all of you.

PoohSpeaking of business, I have grown from a student with a big dream to a semi-professional who loves working in this ever-changing and always-engaging environment. I never thought anyone would want to take a risk and hire me, but they have and I am so grateful. This year I was pushed into the real world and given many wonderful opportunities. I have become a more disciplined, creative, and confident designer. Without the critiques of professors and closest friends I would not be the creator I am now.

In 2012 my brand has grown from a goofy nickname on a junior portfolio to a shop on Etsy, a name in the blogging sphere, and a dream I can see myself fully investing my life into. So  tonight, as I mingle with friends and count down the new year, I will be reminded of the many blessing of 2012 and be contemplating the many possibilities of 2013.
