artwork in situ - no. 3 unconditional

don’t want your powder room to feel the same as everyone else’s? bring in interest with abstract art (like my ‘unconditional’ piece from the parenting mini series) & go a little extra with extravagant framing. i am LOVING neon acrylic frames right now, especially with versatile black & white art. so if I was to redo my upstairs powder room (which I am now strongly considering) here’s how i’d style it - my next in the artwork in situ series

to keep with my april 2023 color palette, i chose a single, glorious frame as the neon element paired with a variety of beautiful pastel pieces. every. single. item. in this powder room is a little extra, but all works together in an unexpected way.

my favorite element by far is the luscious mint concrete sink. sinks are a staple in a bathroom, but that doesn’t mean it needs to be boring & the mint acts as an unexpected “neutral” in the space.

the cloud-like sconce keeps the lighting airy & the curvy mirror mimic the soft edges of the sink. keep hand complimentary colored hand towels (like my blue check ones) within reach with a unique holder, like this open hand from Anthropologie.

while the framed art has very sharp edges, bring in more of those curves with a bubble flush mount light (plus beautiful pink vibes), soft edged toilet & rounded edged shelf. & who says hardware needs to be blend in? go wild with a pink holder to compliment the bubble light above.
